Timothy Danial Leonard, 56 yrs. old of New Berlin, NY passed away unexpectedly on September 14, 2014 at MIB Hospital, Cooperstown, NY.

He was born on August 2, 1958 in East Stroudsburg, PA the son of John W. & Madeleine G. (Merrill) Leonard.

On November 4, 1988 he married Lynn E. Kroenung who survives him.

He was an auto body technician working at the Five Corners Body Shop in New Berlin and later operating his own shop at his home in the Town of Columbus, NY.

Tim was an avid NASCAR fan, his favorite driver being Dale Earnhardt Sr.

In addition to his wife Lynn, Tim is survived his daughter Amy of New Berlin.  He is also survived by his brother Kavin Leonard of Newfoundland, PA; twin sisters, Dolores (Lori) Leonard of Saylorsburg, PA; and Debra Leonard Mertz of Hayward, WI; two half-sisters, Florence Bryant of Livermore Falls, Maine, and Brenda Beaulieu of Fayette, Maine and extended family, Don Mick, James Mick and Richard Mick of Cresco, PA and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; Madeleine G. & John W. Leonard Sr., brother, John W. Leonard, Jr., half-brothers, Robert & Rodney Shank and foster mother, Ann Mick.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 3:00 PM at the Dakin Funeral Home LP with the Very Reverend Charles Taylor officiating. Calling hours will be held from 1:00 – 3:00 PM prior to the funeral service also at the funeral home.
