Betty Jean Schriber,
90 yrs old of New Berlin, NY

Passed away on June 20, 2014 at Chase Memorial Nursing Home, New Berlin, NY

Betty was born on March 22, 1924 in Edmeston, NY the daughter of Howard P. & Irene (Dye) Talbot.

Her childhood was spent in Edmeston NY where she was a graduate of Edmeston Central School.  She was also a graduate of the Albany College of Business.

On June 1, 1948 she married Robert Schriber who predeceased her in May of 2007.

She was employed by Preferred Mutual Insurance Company until her retirement in 1982 and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in New Berlin.

Betty is survived by her children; Gary Schriber of Scarborough, ME, Howard Schriber of Port Orange, Fl, Vicki Mulhair of Sherburne, NY and Pamela Haight of Hamilton, NY as well as 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by one brother, Vane Talbot in 1991.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Dakin Funeral Home, New Berlin NY with Pastor Lyle Linder officiating.  Calling hours will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM prior to the funeral service also at the Dakin Funeral Home.

The interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery, New Berlin, NY.

Memorial donations may be made to the  United Methodist Church, New Berlin, NY.

Was so sorry to hear of the loss of yet another of the elder Schribers.
My thoughts went to those summers on the farm and the trips into New Berlin to Bob and Betty's Resturant .
It was a special time and aunt Betty was most certainly a special lady.

Aunt Betty: I remember visiting her hone during the summer monhts when I would spend a week or two at my gradma's house in South Ed.
Having fun playing in the backyard and going to the ice cream parlor. You will be missed. Connie.
