Obituaries & Condolences

Ronald Dale Davidson 61 yrs. old of New Berlin, NY passed away on July 16, 2015 in Utica, NY.

Ronald was born on June 14, 1954 in Towanda, PA the son of Kenneth & Berneata (Gregesky) Davidson.  His childhood was spent in Ulster, PA where he was a graduate of Athens High School.  He was employed as a Quality Supervisor for GTP Sylvania in Towanda, PA for 36 yrs.

Ronald was an avid fan of the Yankees and Penn State.  He enjoyed wood working, building model planes and remote controlled planes.

He is survived by the love of his life, Jayne Baker as well as his children; Richard & Jody Davidson of Ulster, PA, Erin Baker of Edmeston, NY and grandchildren; Ryleigh, Gage and Lucus who called him “Papa”.  He is also survived by his sisters; Beverly & Wayne Miller of Rome, PA and Loretta & Richard Welty of Sayre, PA, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents Kenneth & Berneata.

A celebration of Ronald’s life will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 2:00 PM at the Ulster United Methodist Church of Ulster, PA with Pastor Richard Anderson of New Berlin officiating.

The interment will be held in the Fairview Cemetery, New Berlin, NY.

Arrangements are by the Dakin Funeral Home, LP.

I went to school and graduated with Ron at Athens High. He was a very dear friend of mine and used to buy me candy bars for breakfast.
I will never forget him and the man that he was. My deepest sympathy to his family. He will be in your hearts forever.
