Thomas Joseph Kearney, Jr. 58 yrs. old of New Berlin, NY passed away on October 22, 2015 at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NY.

Thomas was born on August 26, 1957 in Brooklyn, NY the son of Thomas & Margaret (Dafeldecker) Kearney. His childhood was spent in Brentwood, NY where he attended Brentwood Ross High School. On February 16, 1980 he married Theresa (Terri) Eggering.

Thomas joined the Air Force after graduating from high school, serving as a fireman at the Woodbridge AFB in England. He was later employed as an electrician in the telecommunications field for 25 years in NYC. He enjoyed coin collecting, sarcasm, football and John Wayne movies.

In addition to his wife Terri, Thomas is survived by his children; Katie Kearney & her fiancé Chuck Davenport of Syracuse, NY, Chrissy Kearney of Little Falls, NY, Carrie Kearney & her boyfriend Devin Slater of New Berlin, NY, grandchildren; Bobby McNeal & Aine Davenport, siblings; Tim (Lori) Kearney, Kevin (Patte) Kearney, Maureen (Guy) Webb, nieces & nephews: Maria, Jessica, TJ & Timmy Kearney, Morgan Kearney & Bradley Crabtree, Christopher & Dusty Webb & Margaret Mary Morales.

He was predeceased by his parents and one sister; Margaret Morales.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Dakin Funeral Home LP with Father Lester Smith of St Theresa’s Catholic Church officiating. Calling hours will be held from 12:00-2:00 PM prior to the funeral service.

I just want to say to Terri Kearney and the girls how very sorry I am for my brother Tom's loss we all are, he was simply the best.And how much he will be sorely missed by myself and our brothers Timothy and Kevin Kearney. God Bless all of you and those precious grandchildren. The service was done just like I knew he would love it, great remembrance. My love to all you.

I lot of Telecom people owe their careers to Big Tom. Seeing his family today, and all the pictures of Tom,
