Obituaries & Condolences

Lawrence H. Brill, 83 yrs. old of Edmeston, NY passed away on November 21, 2016 at the home of his son, surrounded by his family.

Lawrence was born on February 28, 1933 in Honesdale, PA the son of Walter & Blanche (Bates) Brill.  His childhood was spent in the Honesdale area where he attended Honesdale High School.  On February 27, 1954 he married Irene Crockenberg, his spouse of 62 years.

He served in the US Army from 1950-1953and later, was a truck driver, owning and operating his own rig.  He was a member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church of New Berlin.  In his spare time, he enjoyed wood working, farming and hunting.

 

In addition to his wife Irene, Lawrence is survived by his children; Laurene Williams of Arkansas, Nancy Bundy and Gerald Brill both of New Berlin and Pamela Hood of Arkansas as well as 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.  He was predeceased by one son, Edwin Brill in 1997.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, November 25, 2016 from 7:00-9:00 PM at the Dakin Funeral Home LP, New Berlin, NY.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, New Berlin, NY with Father Lester Smith of St. Malachy’s Catholic Church officiating. 

The interment will be held in the Edmeston Union Cemetery.
