Wayne D. Anderson 57 yrs. old of Columbus, NY passed away on March 18, 2017 at Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital, Cooperstown.
Wayne was born on March 24, 1959 in Norwich, NY the son of Gray & Beverly Anderson. His childhood was spent in Columbus, NY. He was a graduate of New Berlin Central School.
On March 10, 1979 he married Cindy (Dodge) Anderson at the Columbus Quarter Baptist Church in Columbus, NY.
Wayne was employed by Stericycle in Oneonta, NY.
He is survived by his wife Cindy, daughter Jennifer Moore and her husband David of Morris, Harold Anderson and his significant other Jenni Mercer of Norwich, grandchildren; Madison & Hannah Moore & Caden Anderson, brothers; Bob Anderson & wife Theresa of Sherburne, Don Anderson & wife Heather of Columbus, Ron Anderson & wife Sue of Pittsfield and sister, Barb Pickerd of Columbus. He is also survived by his father & mother-in-law; George & Jennie Dodge, brother-in-law George Dodge Jr., nieces & nephews; Megan Pickerd, Nicole & Taylor Anderson, Laura, Lindsey & Leesa Anderson, Rachael Anderson & Crystal Bennett as well as several great nieces & nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Gray & Beverly (Lawrence) Anderson, his sister Christine Anderson and brother in-law Andy Pickerd
Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017 from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Dakin Funeral Home LP, New Berlin, NY.
There will be no funeral service however after the calling hours there will be a gathering with refreshments at the New Berlin Fire House.
Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Wayne’s memory.
