Robert James Beadle Sr., 84 yrs. old of South New Berlin, NY passed away on December 7, 2017 at Chase Nursing Home, New Berlin.

Robert was born on August 14, 1933 in the Town of New Berlin, the son of Ozmur & Myrtle (Myers) Beadle.  His childhood was spent in Holmesville, NY and he attended South New Berlin Central School.
Robert served in the United States Air Force from 1951-1954 and was later employed by Amphenol of Sidney, NY for 30 years until his retirement in 1995.  He also served in the South New Berlin Fire department for almost 60 years.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cutting wood, cooking and was famous for his chicken BBQ. 

In 1962 he married Patricia Simmons, his wife of 55 years who survives him.

In addition to his wife Patricia, he is survived by his children; Robert Beadle Jr. of South New Berlin, Jeffrey & Jacqueline Beadle of Kingsland, GA, Brent Beadle of South New Berlin and Chris & Veronica Beadle also of South New Berlin, 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.  He is also survived by his sisters; Jennie, Betty & Doris.  He was pre-deceased by sisters; Levina,Cora, Lileany & Pearl and brothers; Richard, Bill, George, John, Clearance, & Ed.

A celebration of life is being held on December 10, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the South New Berlin Fire House.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the South New Berlin Fire Department or the Chenango Area Hospice.
