Carl F. Askenback, 74 of Brooksville, Florida passed away June 13. 2018. He was born in Norwalk, Connecticut.
Carl was a professional florist and a classic automobile enthusiast as well as a Corvette restoration expert. He was a veteran of the U.S. Military.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary Askenback of Brooksville, Fl; 6 children, Kristine Lanagin of Spring Hill, Fl; Nickole Danforth of CT; John Askenback of CT; Aaron Askenback of CT; Andrea DiDonato of KY; Adam Askenback of NY; 14 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Ingrid Askenback and Astrid Federkiel both of OH; loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, New Berlin, NY.
A military burial will follow the funeral service at the Scribner Cemetery, New Berlin, NY. |

Carl was my other father from 1998 and on. A fabulous man. Two of my favorite memories will always be at the track with Aaron and Carl racing Aaron's Corvette. And one day at the Flower Farm watching Carl walk away with his sons. Even with how different they all were, you could tell they were Askenbacks by how they walked and related to each other. It put a smile on my face immediately to see them all talking about the greenhouses and what needed to be done. Carl taught me so much, he will be dearly missed. Much love and peace.

So sorry to read this ...Carl was a great man..I work for the Pennysaver and did his Flower Farm ads for years. He was always a joy to talk to -
and a wealth of knowledge. I am not able to make the funeral tomorrow, but please know you will all be in my thoughts and prayers.
