Irene Jaquay, 88 yrs. old of New Berlin, NY passed away peacefully on December 26, 2018 at Chase Memorial Nursing Home.
She was born on October 15, 1930 to George Sr. & Myrtle (Cole) Ray.
On April 16, 1949 she married the love of her life Lee Due (Jr.) Jaquay. He predeceased her on April 27, 2018.
Lee Due and Irene moved to Columbus, NY where they raised their 5 children. Irene worked and retired from Chesebrough-Ponds/Sherwood Medical in Sherburne, NY and was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Edmeston, NY.
Irene loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She also loved to bake and spending time baking with her girls.
She is survived by her children, Linda (Tom) Eriksen of Edmeston, Ed (Shirley) Jaquay of Hudsonville, MI, Judy (Jamie) Robinson and Bruce (Sharon) Jaquay both of New Berlin.
She is also survived by 14 grandchildren Jennelle (Kory) Rozema, Jill (Joel) Horing of Hudsonville, MI, Jerica (Art) Keoseyan of Pa, Chad (Jennifer) Goodier of Veron, Jacqueline (Kyle) of Erieville, Braden (Emilee) Jaquay and Lexi (Todd) Wilcox of New Berlin.
She leaves behind 14 great grandchildren; Dylan, Keelin, Kaylie, Kendall, Tyler, Nick, Ayden, Hannah, Gavin, Owen, Ethan, Liam, Drew, and Noah.
Irene is survived by 3 brothers, one sister and many nieces & nephews.
She was predeceased by her daughter Donna and great granddaughter Rae Lynn.
The family would like to thank all of her wonderful caregivers at Chase Memorial Nursing Home. She loved you all like you were her own.
Funeral services will be held on December 29, 2018 1:00pm at the Dakin Funeral Home LP New Berlin, NY with Pastor Jay Henderson officiating. Calling hours will be held prior to the funeral service from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. |
