Diane Lynn Cassidy, 72 yrs. old of Morris, NY passed away on April 13, 2020 at her home.

Diane was born on November 10, 1947 in West Hempstead, Long Island the daughter of Russell Nostrand and Elizabeth Bolton.  Her childhood was spent in Long Island where she attended Malverne High School. After high school Diane worked briefly as a telephone operator for the Long Island Telephone Company before moving to this area. She worked for several years at the Norwich Shoe Company before beginning her 30+ year career at Kraft Foods in South Edmeston.  After her retirement, she worked at the New Berlin Big M and the Walmart Pharmacy.

Diane is survived by her long-time companion; William Harris, son; Joseph & Heather Cassidy, granddaughter; Gabriella Cassidy, siblings; James & Terry Nostrand, Mary Jane Burtis, Wendy & Ron Stalloch, Terry & Carl Convis and Elizabeth & Michael Binelli.

She was predeceased by her parents, brothers; Herbert & Skipper Nostrand and foster brother; Nicholas LaScala.

Diane was a very independent, hard working woman who cared deeply about her family.  Her interests when she was younger included bowling and she was a member of the Generals Daughters Drill Team.  Her travels included a trip to Mardi Gras in New Orleans, several cruises and visiting Disneyworld.  Diane also loved feeding & watching birds.  She was easy going and always had a smile.  She loved her family very much and will be greatly missed.

A graveside service will be held on April 16, 2020 at 10:00 AM.

Memorial donations may be made to Helios Care, Otsego County, 297 River St. So. Service Rd Ste. 1, Oneonta, NY  13820.
