Christine, I was so sorry to hear about Alvin's passing. I have very fond memories of sitting in your kitchen when I was the girls migrant tutor. I so enjoyed working with them. and then to have one of them help my husband while in was at Bassett. It was so nice to see a friendly face. My prayers are with you and the girls.

Alvin was a character. He liked old country music. He could tell you everything about Loretta Lynn,Hank Williams,Conway Twitty and Merle Haggard. He probably at one time had every wheat penny made. And he could tell you if something was steel, aluminum,or pot metal from a mile away. Say what you want they don't make them like that any more doing whatever he had to to take care of his girls. Something a lot of young people don't do these days. He'll be missed. Have a cold one with dad and give Bear and granny a hug. Our thoughts are with the family.
