Obituaries & Condolences

Brian G. Harrington, 60 yrs. old of Sherburne, NY lost his courageous battle with cancer on Friday, August 7, 2020 with his BFF Jammie Wilcox by his side.

Brian was one of five children born to Frances and Fred Harrington on September 24, 1959.  Brian’s brother Kenny and daughter April predeceased him in death.

Brian attended NBCS and graduated in 1977.  He held various jobs in the area throughout the years and made many long term friendships.  Work on his cousin’s family farm gave him much joy.  He had a love for the great out-doors, hunting, fishing & motorcycling and he loved to cook out on the barbecue.

He leaves behind his siblings David, Susan and Cindy, a son Brian Jr., 8 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  Dear to his heart cousin Carl (Deanna) Tice and their 3 children, cousin, Kathy (Clark) Utter and life-long friend Gary Carson.

There will be no services per his request however memorial donations can be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society or the Chenango Area Hospice.

We would like to thank all of Brian’s friends & family for their outpouring of love and support.  A celebration of life will be held in his honor at a later date.

Brian was a student of mine from 1971-1974 at NBCS. He always had the most infectious smile and we had many good times together at the end of the hall. David was also in my class. I think of you guys a lot.
