Yvonne Linda Mattice, of New Berlin, NY Passed away peacefully at Chase Nursing Home, on December 8, 2020. She was 73 years old.

Yvonne is preceded in death by her husband, Harold R. Mattice of West Edmeston, NY; her brother, Quentin Holmes, her sisters Margaret (Peggy) Umbach, Ceclia Holmes and Sarah Holmes, granddaughter April Harrington, grandson Tyler Patrick Holmes, and her parents. Yvonne is survived by her children, James & Kalya Holmes of Bridgewater, NY, Diana & James Banta of South New Berlin, NY, Bonnie Lum of Edmeston, NY and David Lum of New Berlin, NY and; her five grandchildren Kelly Lopez Miliano, Brian Harrington, Brianna Behan, James Holmes; and her seven great-grandchildren Mya Harrington, Bracey Harrington, Xzavier Lafontant, Haylee Harrington, Trea Guyer, Kiarra Harrington, Blake Johnson, Miranda Harrington. Her sisters, Mary Sampnier, and Anna Snano. 


Yvonne was born on May 22, 1947 in Oneonta, NY to Mary Burnette and Quentin Holmes. Yvonne married Harold on June 29, 1996, in Sheffield, MA. Yvonne was a very caring person and would help anyone she could. She raised her children as well as her granddaughter Kelly. Yvonne enjoyed knitting, drawing, playing cards, puzzles, baking and had a strong love for her four legged friends.

Calling hours and funeral will be December 16, beginning at 11:00 A.M. at the Dakin Funeral Home LP, New Berlin, NY. Jay Fischer will officiate. Proper social distancing practices will be in place.  There will be a limited number of individuals allowed in the building to greet the family at one time.  Masks are required. A reception will follow at South New Berlin Fire House. Jay Fischer will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Yvonne’s life.
