Obituaries & Condolences

Nancy L. Utter, age 55 of New Berlin, NY passed away on August 29, 2020 at Albany Medical Center with family by her side.

She is survived by her three sisters, one brother, two daughters, two sons-in-law and four grandchildren whom she loved more than anything else.  She also leaves behind her lifelong friend who holds a special place with her family.

Nancy will be missed dearly by all who knew her.  She was an incredible sister/mother/grandmother/friend with an unusual sense of humor that could make you laugh or cry.  Her strength, sarcasm and brutal honesty, carries on through her children and grandchildren.  Her love for sports, camping, classic movies/shows, the outdoors, gardening and four wheeler rides with her grandchildren will forever be in our memories and hearts.

Following her wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral services.  A small burial service will be held on September 4, 2020 at 1:00 PM.  Any well-wishers may visit the family at Millbrook pavilion following the burial service from 2:30-5:00 PM.

The family would like to express a special thank you to all the nurses and doctors of the Bassett Cancer Center for their strength, passion and dedication.

Remember to live life to the fullest and laugh…..laugh…and then laugh some more as Nancy would.

So sorry to hear of Nancy’s passing. We were school mates in New Berlin, class of 84. I ran into her several months back and we chatted for a while. She told me then of her worsening health but was still optimistic and full of hope. She always told me she loved my Facebook posts and how she always laughed when she read them. Rest In Peace my old friend. You were a funny woman and a fighter to the end.
