Obituaries & Condolences

Gloria J. Anderson Williams, 68 yrs. old of Madison, NY formerly of New Berlin, NY, passed away on July 1, 2021 in Norwich.

Gloria was born on January 2, 1953 at Chase Memorial Hospital, New Berlin, NY the daughter of Donald & Nancy (Elliott) Anderson.  Her childhood was spent in New Berlin.  She was a New Berlin Central School graduate with the class of 1970 and then attended CCBI in Syracuse.  She worked for Preferred Mutual Insurance Company of New Berlin until her retirement.  She attended the First United Methodist church and the Columbus Community Church.

On October 21, 1995, Gloria married Wayland Williams III at the First United Methodist Church of New Berlin.  He predeceased her on July 14, 2011.

Gloria is survived by her children; Randall S. Borst, Wendy Baldwin, Tom, Brian Williams, Porsch Jones and Amanda Borst, grandchildren; Christopher Pounds, Kiran Borst, Austin Ray and Madison Ray as well has her siblings; Richard D. Anderson and Linda M. Burke, her aunt; Barbara J. Parry and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was predeceased by one brother; Dale H. Anderson.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, July 11, 2021, at 2:00 PM with Penny Harrington officiating at the First United Methodist Church, New Berlin, NY. A reception will follow from 3:00-4:00 PM.

The interment will be in the Williams Family Cemetery, Madison, NY.

Memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church, New Berlin, NY, the Columbus Community Church, Columbus, NY or the New Berlin Emergency Squad.

I just learned of Gloria’s death she was my cousin haven’t seen her for years I remember her well in my younger years her and her brother dick we’re good friends I spent time with them years ago before I joined the service I’m very sorry to hear about her passing God bless her may she rest in peace.
