Brooke Anne Brownell, 40 of New Berlin, NY passed away surrounded by family and friends on September 20, 2022, at MIB Hospital, Cooperstown, NY.
Brooke was born on January 23, 1982, in Cooperstown, NY the daughter of Wayne & Joan (Larrabee) Brownell. Her childhood was spent in the New Berlin and Edmeston area. She graduated from New Berlin Central School with the class of 2000 and was employed as an Administrative Assistant with Office for People With Developmental Disabilities.
Brooke’s love for her family and friends was unmeasurable. Brooke enjoyed crafting, quilting with her grandmother, gardening with Don and spending time with her grandson, Lucas. Brooke will be greatly missed for her generous heart and beautiful soul.
She is survived by her mother, Joan Brownell of Pittsfield, Henry Palmer, her soul mate Donald Winn of New Berlin, her children; Koral Hoag (Tyler Chesebro), Jacob Hoag, Zach Hoag and Noah Geywits, stepchildren; Emily, Brayden & Easton Winn, siblings; Olivia Hess and James Lobdell of Norwich, Chris & Colleen Hess of New Berlin, Kasey & Joseph Gasparek of Burlington, Trey (Cheryl) Palmer of Oneonta and grandson, Lucas Chesebro,
She was predeceased by her father, Wayne Brownell, grandfather, Max Brownell, grandmother, Mary Larrabee and nephew, Dawson Hoagland, as well as aunts and uncles from both sides.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at 12:00 PM at the Dakin Funeral Home, LP, New Berlin, NY with Pastor Rob Lloyd officiating. Calling hours will be from 9:00 AM -12:00 PM prior to the funeral service. The interment will be in the Gazlay Cemetery, South Edmeston, NY.

I remember how cute she was in Headstart .She and Casey looked so similar that we called them both CaseyBrooke .I saw Brooke a few times over the years and that cute little girl turned into a beautiful woman like her mama.
