Angeline (Betty) Norwood Palmer (96)
Born March 23, 1928
Betty was raised in a foster home and at the age of 16 she went to work at the Burglas in Norwich. There she met and married Stewart J Norwood after he returned from World War II. They settled in South New Berlin where they raised five kids. Angeline and Steward both retired from Amphenol in Sidney. Stewart died in 1978 and many years later Betty re-married Ronald Palmer and moved to New Berlin. She was predeceased by both husbands, her son Gerald Norwood, her step-daughter Helen Norwood DeBoer, and four grandchildren: Thomas Norwood Jr., Timothy Norwood, Kim DeBoer Stewart and Rick DeBoer.
Her surviving children are: Sandra Norwood-Cruz, Connie Norwood Osborne, Larry Norwood and Thomas Norwood. Grandchildren: Joshua Osborne, Timothy Osborne, Matthew Osborne, Daniel Osborne, William Norwood, Christopher Norwood, Stephen Winner, Scott Winner, Trevin Cruz, Michael DeBoer, Bradford Norwood, Jocelyn Norwood, Jason Norwood, Christopher Gillette, Patrick Gillette, Chad Gillette and many great-grandchildren.
Betty was active in St. Matthew’s Episcopal church and well known for her home made peanut brittle and beautiful afghans. She loved crafting and baking. She was a loving mother and grandmother and a caring and giving person.
Betty will be buried in Mount Hope Cemetery beside her husband Stewart Norwood in the Spring.
