Anna Mae Reed

Anna Mae Reed, our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, has lost her battle with colon cancer. We mourn her passing in New Berlin, NY, on August 15, 2024, at the age of 80 years. She was born on October 22, 1943, the daughter of Albert & Florence Morin.

She will be remembered by her children, Kristi Reed, Robin Reed, John Reed Jr., and Jackie Savory, grandchildren, Brandon Marbot, Alex Marbot, Lynn Savory, Bryan Marbot Garrett Marbot, Amber Sisson and Daryl Persons, sisters, Nancy Myers and Mary Jane Anson, brothers-in-law, Milt Anson and Thomas Reed and sister-in-law, Gert Reed as well as numerous relatives, friends and the local community.

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, John Jack Reed. She was also predeceased by her sister Elizabeth Bolton, brother-in-law, Charlie Bolton and her parents, Albert & Florence Morin. She enjoyed working at the New Berlin Gazette and later at the Bishop Print Shop, however one of Anna’s greatest accomplishments was her daycare. She loved helping family and friends as much as she could. A few of her hobbies were gardening, baking and her love for crafting.

Calling hours will be Friday, September 6 from 12:00-2:00 PM with a memorial service to follow at 2:00 at the Dakin Funeral Home LP, New Berlin, NY with Pastor Judy McCall officiating.

Memorial donations may be made to Oneonta Cancer Treatment at Fox Care Center.
