Irene J. Brill, 83 yrs. old of the Town of Edmeston, NY passed away on September 8, 2017 at her home.

Irene was born on March 2, 1934 in Honesdale, PA the daughter of George & Anna (Tuleya) Crockenberg. Her childhood was spent in Honesdale where she was a graduate of the local Catholic high school.  She worked for Bell Telephone in Honesdale and as a housekeeper in New Berlin, NY and was a member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church.

On February 27, 1954 she married Lawrence H. Brill who predeceased her on November 21, 2016.

Irene is survived by her children; Laurene Williams of Arkansas, Nancy Bundy & Gerald Brill of New Berlin and Pamela Hood of Arkansas as well as 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by one son, Edwin Brill in 1997.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at 2:00 PM at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, New Berlin, NY with Father Alfred Bebel officiating.

Calling hours will be held from 12:00-2:00PM on Thursday, September 14 at the Dakin Funeral Home, LP, New Berlin, NY prior to the funeral service.

The interment will be held in the Edmeston Union Cemetery, Edmeston, NY.
