Martha (Dolly) Rose Brown, 74 yrs old
of the Town of Columbus, NY
Passed away on January 18, 2013 at her home.

Dolly was born on December 14, 1938 in the Town of Butternuts, the daughter of Charles & Florence (Davis) Ray.  Her childhood was spent in the Monticello and Richfield, NY areas.  On December 3, 1966 she married her husband of 46 years, Louis Brown who survives her.  She was a family care provider at her home for 20 years.  Dolly was the matriarch of the family and will be missed by all.

Dolly is survived by her children; Shirley & Keith Winton of Columbus, Russell & Tammy Ray of Columbus, Karen & Russel Zvirzdin of Cleveland, NY, 8 Grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.  She is also survived by her sister; Naomi Wright of Norwich, brother; Gary Ray of Leonardsville, brother & sister-in-law; Edward & Virginia Ray of West Winfield and sister and brother-in-law; Linda & Wayne Brownell of PA as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was predeceased by siblings; Charles Ray, Neva Loomis, Wendell Ray, Paul Ray, Fern Robinson, baby Leon Ray as well as a baby sister.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 21, 2013 11:00 AM at the Columbus Community Church with the Reverend Stephen Reese and Chaplain Donna Steckline officiating.

Calling hours will be on Sunday, January 20, 2013 6:00-9:00 PM at the Dakin Funeral Home LP, New Berlin, NY.

The interment will be in the South Brookfield Cemetery, South Brookfield, NY.

Memorial donations may be made to the Chenango Area Hospice.
