Alvin Delong

Alvin R. Delong, 76 yrs. old of South New Berlin, NY passed away on November 8, 2020 at Chenango Memorial Hospital, Norwich, NY.

Alvin was born on June 16, 1944 in Catskills, NY the son of Evelyn DeLong.  He attended Windham Central School.  On April 9, 1995 he married Christine Delong who survives him.

He was a self-employed laborer who was very hard working man.  Anywhere he went, someone knew him.  He loved country music, old westerns, eating chicken wings and fried potatoes, collecting coins, playing cards, cars & cans.  He would collect can tabs for donations.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children; Shannon Delong, Shelley Delong, Sherrey Delong, Richard Delong, 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.  He is also survived by his brothers & sisters; Howard, Edward, Eugene & Roger Delong, Joan Park, Paula Mailelle & Patricia Delong.

He was predeceased by his daughter; Sharron (Delong) Miller.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
