Elinor spent the last several years putting her heart and soul into her little hamlet of Columbus which she loved and took so much pride in,she went out on her own to collect up donations to buy American flags for the poles along the road then moved on to barrels and started up a gardening club with a few town ladies and children planting her beautiful red geraniums, then just the past two winters went full speed ahead with getting Christmas lights upon the poles. With sadness in our hearts Elinor passed away before becoming Honorary Mayor of Columbus where she was to be presented with a beautiful sash and certificate at the Columbus Community Days....she surely will be missed.
