John G. Gridley

John G. Gridley, a cherished resident of South New Berlin, NY, passed away on September 25, 2024 at the age of 55. He was born on May 31, 1969, in Norwich, NY. John was a devoted caretaker at Saint Andrews Episcopal Church for over 25 years, a role he embraced with passion and dedication. He treasured every moment he spent serving his community.

John's life was characterized by his creativity and sense of humor. He was a wild spirit and an avid tinkerer, often engaging in hobbies that included working on machines, four-wheelers, dirt bikes, golf carts, and jet skis. A lover of the outdoors, he had a special fondness for camping trips with his family. He delighted in teaching his son all about riding dirt bikes.

A graduate of South New Berlin School, class of 1988. His greatest pride came from the relationships he nurtured; he cherished his time together with his family. Among his proudest accomplishments was witnessing the wedding of his son and meeting his beloved grandson, Cannon Gridley, who brought immeasurable joy to his life.

John is survived by his son, Bradley Gridley (Kamara); grandson, Cannon Gridley; sister, Kim Gridley; and nieces, Katrina Sirianni (Joseph) and Shayla Brooks. He is preceded in death by his father, Roy Gridley, and his mother, Marie Lamphere.

John G. Gridley's legacy will endure in the hearts of those who knew him, through the fond memories shared and the joy he brought to his family and friends. His dedication to his loved ones will be dearly missed.
