Elsie Lund

Elsie E. Lund, 92 years old of Edmeston, NY passed away on April 22, 2022 at her home.

Elsie was born on March 13, 1930 in South Columbia, NY the daughter of Claude & Jessie (Weidman) Chase.  Her childhood was spent in Pittsfield, NY.  On June 27, 1948 she married Allen E. Lund who predeceased her on June 20, 2004.  She was employed at the New Berlin Shoe Factory and dress factories in Edmeston and Oneonta, NY.

She is survived by her children; Ken & Gwen Lund of Louisa, KY, Robert & Helen Lund of Leonardsville, NY, Dale & Nancy Lund of Edmeston, NY, Lorraine Rifanburg of Edmeson, NY, Roger and Jennifer Lund of Mills River, NC, Velma & Thomas Kingsbury, grandchildren; Christopher Lund, Angela Harmon, Bradley Lund, Melissa Lewis, Jason & Courtney Lund, Randy  & Jaclyn Lund, Ryan & Beth Lund, Kyle  & Marabeth Lund,  Keith Rifanburg & Katie Orth, Denise & Ben Richards, Michael & Amy Rifanburg, Zachary Lund, Kayleigh Lund, Colton Lund and Brett Kingsbury.  She is also survived by 36 Great grandchildren 3 great great grandchildren, sisters; Reita McLean, Diane Pearl and Kathryn Davis, and brothers; Russell (Lee) Chase, David (Amber) Chase, Marvin (Linda) Chase and William (Grace) Chase.

She was predeceased by brothers; Ernest, Chester and Laurance Chase, son-in-law, Jack Rifanburg and great grandson, Jacob McCann.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 25, 2022 at 3:00 PM with Reverend Benjamin Blackwell of the First Baptist Church of West Edmeston presiding at the Taylor Hill Cemetery, Burlington Flats, NY.

Memorial donations may be made to the Edmeston or West Edmeston Emergency Squads.
