Nancy Martinos

Nancy Martinos, 66 years old of, Binghamton, NY passed away on April 3, 2024, at Wilson Memorial Hospital.

Nancy was born on September 28, 1957, in New Berlin, NY, the daughter of the late William Hansen and Margaret Cernak.   Her childhood was spent in New Berlin.   She was a 1975 graduate of New Berlin Central School and attended SUNY Cobleskill majoring in culinary arts.   She managed Tom’s Texas Hot’s Restaurant in Binghamton and opened her own hot dog cart called Nancy’s.   She enjoyed summers at camp, reading and gardening. Many would say she was the kindest person and would do anything for anyone.

Nancy is survived by her son, Michael Martinos, her sisters, Sherry (Pete) Ramsey of Ocala, FL, Thomas Martinos life long friend and business partner, Faye Hogoboom of Cape Coral, FL, Kelly (Wilbur) Potter of Cape Coral, FL, and Beth (Mike) Mumbulo of Edmeston, NY and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was pre-deceased by her life partner, Robert Sherman.

A celebration of Life will be held in Binghamton at a later date, and she will be interred with her loving mother in St. Andrew’s Cemetery, New Berlin, NY.
