No Name

Deborah Ann Mehlhorn (nee Crozier) passed on to Glory Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at the home of her parents, Vince and Bonnie Jean Bauer, where she had been blessed by the constant care of her family and Chenango County Hospice, in New Berlin, NY for the past several weeks following a year long battle with cancer at her home in Endicott, NY. Debbie was born on October 4, 1968 at Riverview Hospital, Red Bank, NJ and grew up in Fair Haven, NJ and Stoughton, MA.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Joseph, Jr. and two young children, Joseph and Abby Jane Brittain Mehlhorn, Endicott, NY and Emilie Janet Towney, the light of her life, Harrison, NY. Ron and Debbie were married July 15, 2007 in Utica and during their marriage have made their home in both New Jersey and New York. She also leaves her father in law, Ronald Joseph, Sr. and sister in law Andrea (Marvin) Marshall, Long Branch, NJ, Aunts, Uncles and step children Emma (Kenneth), Ronald Joseph III, Caitlyn and Brooklyn.

Debbie also leaves sisters Darlene (Chris) Gatti, Danielle (Patrick) Cattanach both of New Berlin and her brother, Thompson B., Jr. (Anne) Crozier, Harrison, NY and the fifteen nieces and two grand nieces and nephews. Others in her family circle who will miss her dearly are Uncles, Aunts and nine cousins.

She was predeceased by her dad, Thompson B. Crozier, Sr. in 2006; mother in law, Grace Servedio Mehlhorn in April and grandparents John and Janet Russell and Wesley and Jean Crozier, Fair Haven, NJ.

Debbie was blessed with a deep and abiding faith and has been an inspiration to a multitude of friends acquired and retained during her life.  She was eloquent, spiritual, artistic, loving, generous and an awesome chef and organizer.  She loved food, the joy it brought to her family and friends and all aspects of creating special dishes and occasions.  She opened her heart and home to those in need and was an encourager from a very early age.  She owned two restaurants over the years, one on the Jersey Shore which was destroyed during hurricane Sandy and the other in Endicott. Her customers reached out to her even after she was unable to work as did her childhood and adult friends. She appreciated and prayed for each and every one.

There was a celebration of Debbie’s life during a Funeral Mass said for her at St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church, 24 North Main Street New Berlin, NY on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 11 a.m. by Father Lester Smith of St. Theresa’s and St. Malachy’s, Sherburne.
