Scott Ray

Scott Daniel Ray, 31 yrs. old of Herkimer, NY passed away on November 12, 2021 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Utica, NY.

Scott was born on April 28, 1990 the son of Kitty & Daniel Knochenmus.  His childhood was spent with his Mom and grandparents.  He attended Pathfinder Village and the New Berlin Day Care Center.

Scottie enjoyed going camping, fishing, school and car rides.  He loved being around his family sitting outside on the deck, going for walks and listening to music.  He was a happy boy who would get so excited when eating his food he would spit it all over you and he would always give raspberries.  Scottie was loved and will be missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his sisters; Francina (James Fuller) & Brittany Decker (Mike Squires), brother, Mason Knuchenmus, Uncles; Bruce Ray & Daniel Ray Jr., Great Uncles, David Harshburger and Mike Ray, Aunts; Beth & Cindy Ray, Grandparents; Erma & Daniel Ray and Laurie Knochenmus, niece, Adeline Fuller, nephews; James Fuller Jr., Brantley Squires, Walker Fuller, Owen Fuller and Layton Squires, cousins; Bruce Ray Jr., Andrew Ray, Justin Ray and Kristina & Adam Lafrienier.

He was predeceased by his great grandmother Nettie Harshburger in 2007, his great grandfathers Bruce & Jim Harshburger and his cousin David Harshburger, Jr.

Services will be held on Monday, November 22, 2021 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Judy McCall officiating at the Dakin Funeral Home LP, New Berlin, NY.  Calling hours will be held from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM prior to the funeral service also at the funeral home.

A ceremony will be held setting off lanterns at Millbrook in New Berlin at 6:00 PM also on Monday, November 22.  Everyone is welcome to join the family in memory of Scott Daniel Ray.
