Willis Ernest Rose 94 yrs. old of New Berlin, NY passed away on March 30, 2015 at Bassett Hospital Cooperstown, NY.

He was born on February 26, 1921 in the Town of Pittsfield, NY the son of Ernest & Lula (Palmer) Rose.  His childhood was spent in the Pittsfield, NY area where he attended a local one room school house.

Willis was a logger, dairy farmer and chain saw dealer by trade and was a member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church and the Odd Fellows Lodge.  He served for many years on the New Berlin Village Board and was loved and respected by everyone.

Willis is predeceased by his wife Dorothy (Mumbulo) Rose.

He is survived by many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at a later date with the Very Reverend Charles Taylor officiating at the Fairview Cemetery, New Berlin, NY.
