Patricia Spooner

Patricia Spooner, 76 yrs. old of Edmeston, NY passed away on July 5, 2024, at her home.

Patricia was born on August 11, 1947, in Oneonta, NY, the daughter of Ray and Margaret (Benington) Parker.   Her childhood was spent in Pittsfield, NY.   She graduated from New Berlin Central School in 1965 and attended Central City Business School.   She enjoyed a long career at the Edmeston/Burlington Health Center where she was affectionately known by many in the community.

On November 24, 1993, she married Mark Spooner at the Parker residence in Pittsfield.   He predeceased her on November 30, 2013.

Patricia enjoyed needle point, baking and collecting recipes, and was famous for her rhubarb crunch recipe.   She was a member of the Pittsfield Fire Department and served for many years on the ambulance crew.   Her greatest love was her grandchildren and family.

She is survived by her daughter, Becky (Mike) Wheeler of Edmeston, grandchildren, Cayla & Tyrick Wheeler, sisters, Jeanne Westcott of Garrettsville and Elaine Garito of Lowville and nieces, Maria and Gina.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, from 5-7:00 PM at the South Edmeston Community Center, South Edmeston, NY.
