Kenneth Stevens

Kenneth Richard Stevens Sr., 78 yrs. old of New Berlin, NY entered eternal rest on Sunday, December 1, 2019 at Faxton St. Luke’s Rehabilitation and Nursing Center where he had resided for the last one and a half years.

He was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Rita Marie Stevens, parents; William and Margaret (Slater) Stevens and sister; Doris Blackman.

Kenneth was born on January 8, 1941 in Norwich, NY. Ken was employed at Norwich Pharmaceutical/Proctor & Gamble where he retired after 37 years in addition he also worked a second job for several years at The Norwich Shoe Company.

He enjoyed cutting wood, hunting with family and spending time with friends at Red Apple, Mirabito’s and weekend auctions.

He is survived by four sons; Kenneth Stevens Jr. (Beth Jasewicz) of Little Falls, NY, Douglas Stevens (Deb Sutherlin) of Johnson City, NY, Michael Stevens of Crown Point, NY, Dennis Stevens ( Linda Nichols) of New Berlin, NY as well as Michael Coffyn whom Ken raised as his son.  He is also survived by one sister; Deb Fuller and her husband Terry of Sherburne, NY, 5 sisters-in-law and 1 brother-in-law.  He was greatly loved by his 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Services will be held December 14, 2019 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Dakin Funeral Home LP, New Berlin, NY to allow friends and family to pay respects and offer a final goodbye.

The family would like to extend a sincere “thank you” to the staff at St. Luke’s for the genuine kindness and care provided to Ken during his stay.
