Donald Van Wagner

Donald Wayne Van Wagner, 77 yrs. old of New Berlin, NY passed away at his home on February 22, 2024.

Donald was born on August 18, 1946, in Utica, NY, the son of S. Donald and Irene Van Wagner.   His childhood was spent in the Solsville, Sherburne 4 Corners and Spur Street in the Town of Columbus area and on the family farm.   He was a graduate of Brookfield Central School and Morrisville State University.   He was employed in manufacturing, retail businesses, as a truck driver, by Norwich Eaton Pharmaceuticals and Bagnal Electric.

Donald was a member of the Earlville Fire department and enjoyed walking in the woods, (logging, and wood cutting), lawncare, gardening and firearms.

On October 1, 1966, Donald married Joyce Marie Van Wagner who survives him.   He is also survived by his brother, Lyndon (Debbie) Van Wagner and brother Kevin (Lynette) Van Wagner.   He was predeceased by his sister Linda Willard and brother, Barry Van Wagner.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Dakin Funeral Home LP, New Berlin, NY.

The interment will be held at the Columbus Corners Cemetery, at a later date.
