William A. Conklin

January 18, 1961 — September 29, 2024

Morris, NY

William "Bill" A. Conklin, passed away on September 29, 2024 at the age of 63 in Morris, NY. Born on January 18, 1961, in Suffern, NY, Bill dedicated much of his professional life his role as a Heavy Equipment Operator at Webster's Paving, a position he held since 1993. Colleagues and friends admired his strong work ethic and were often inspired by his caring and giving nature.

Bill was a man of many interests. He was known for his love of cars and motorcycles, relishing the challenge of working on and building these machines. His deep appreciation for classic rock and country music was matched only by his enthusiasm for watching the History Channel, particularly his favorite show, "Curse of Oak Island.” A proud fan of the New York Giants, Bill enjoyed every opportunity to watch football, finding joy both in playing and cheering for the game.

Family gatherings and celebrations were cornerstones of Bill’s life. He was well-known for throwing parties for all occasions, always eager to bring loved ones together. Bill's affectionate spirit extended past his family, shining brightly through cherished memories, such as when Richie’s friends unexpectedly crawled into his bed, which he took in good stride with humor and warmth. He held a special place in his heart for his dog, Blue, who had his own place among the children on the picture wall. His boys' football games were also moments he relished, embodying the supportive family man he was.

Bill's personality was marked by strength, warmth, and an infectious sense of humor. He was outgoing, always making those around him feel valued and appreciated. His pride in his family and their accomplishments was evident to all who knew him. Whether it was the cars he built with his children and grandchildren or the retirement home he remodeled for himself and his beloved wife, Bonnie, these achievements were testaments to the legacy he created through love and dedication.

Bill is survived by his devoted wife, Bonita (Bonnie) Webster Conklin, and their loving children: Bobbi Lampron (Tim), Rachael Vibbard (Tyler), Cassandra Burke (AJ), Eli Conklin (Jeanetta), Megan Sellards (Cody), and Richard Conklin (Megan). He leaves behind numerous grandchildren, each of whom brought joy and pride to his life: August Vibbard, Kirsten Pepper, Hayden Vibbard, Brantley Vibbard, Sherri Conklin, Sophia Burke, Ali Lampron, Cali Conklin, Michaela Lampron, Arietta Lake, Warren Lum, Elli Vibbard, Aubree Lake, Josephine Conklin, Stella Conklin, and Judith Conklin. Bill is also survived by his siblings Barbara Roberts (Jett), Donald Anthony (Marge), Judy Mead (Tom), and Kelly Gunter (Ed), along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Bill was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Whaley Conklin; his mother, Mary Conklin; and brothers Gary Dibble and Jobie Conklin Sr.
